My husband and I met through horses and have made, and kept, valued friendships through our involvement with horses. After stepping away from the shows I began teaching riding and horsemanship. The awards I have don't compare to the self esteem and progress made in my students.
I guess it is true that if you find something you enjoy you never really have to work another day in your life again.
